I am so tired! I was out with friends until 3 this morning. We went out for dinner and then to a gay bar around here to see a friend's husband (he is the DJ at said club) and the drag show. Oh my god it has been a long time since I have had that much fun! I came home smelling like an ashtray - 2 showers later and I still smell it! This afternoon I opened y purse and everyone could smell the cigarette smoke, and one of the boys even said "I think I just got lung cancer." Smart asses, all of them!
Tonight I made 10 lbs. of taco meat for the freezer. Tomorrow, I am making 20 lbs. of pork butt in to pulled pork for the freezer. I think I am going to use Tyler Florence's recipe for the rub and my BBQ sauce recipe. I know every southerner is going to have a coronary, but my BBQ sauce is sweet, not a vinegar sauce. I know.. I will be asked to move immediately. Sue me. I might also toss some beans, onions and garlic into the crockpot and make refried beans.
I am going to keep my eyes open for reduced chicken breasts at Sam's. if I don;t find them I won't stress, but finding a big pack with $5 off is not a bad thing! Once I get them I will grill them all for various meals.
Tomorrow I also have to run to my Doctor's office to have him fill out the Family Medical Leave Act paperwork so that my mom can stay the 2 weeks post-op with me.
Tonight I went to Wal-Mart to price everything I need to pick up. Not too bad... my biggest expense is going to be pillows!
